Alex and the others approached Kate's body. Humphrey and all the wolves present howled in sadness. Skipper and the other penguins wept. James suddenly noticed some movement. Simba approached her and helped her up. "Kate! You're alive!" Skipper cheered. Kate asked, "Is everyone staring at us?" James said, "Oh, boy." Humphrey replied, "Yes." Kate said, "Aw, darn." She took a deep breath and said, "'Cause I wanted to tell you something." She leaned forward and whispered in Humphrey's ear. Humphrey acted suprised. "What?!" James, who had also heard what she said asked, "Is that true?" Timon, Pumbaa, Kiara, Kovu, Mufasa, Sarabi, Ahadi, and Uru, who also heard her whisper, burst into hysterical laughter. Kate couldn't help but smile. Humphrey also took a deep breath and said, "I also wanted to say something to you, too. I love you." Kate giggled and nuzzled him. Humphrey nuzzled her in return. Winston said, "Maybe this can work." Tony began to protest, "Oh, I-" He was interrupted by a fierce growl. Simba, Nala, Eve, and the other lions approached him, their teeth bared. Tony quickly yelped, "Alright!" He sighed. Lilly was so happy, that she lunged at Garth and tackled him. Then she kissed him. James yelled triumphantly, "Hit it, guys!" As Louis and Tantor trumpeted triumphantly, all the wolves picked up their joy and began to howl and dance along to the music. Kate stopped nuzzling Humphrey and kissed him. Both pulled away after a moment and, without thinking of anythig else better to say, Humphrey said, "I love you." Kate's ears lowered. She giggled and replied, "I love you too." James walked up to them. He winked at them and said, "I told that true love overcomes all obstacles." Genie triumphantly said, "They're in love!" and exploded like fireworks. Marty said at this sight, "True love knows no boundaries!" Pumbaa said to Winston and Tony, "I love moments like this." Tantor cried and said, "Isn't that wonderful?" Terk turned to him and said, "Get a grip, big guy. You're embarassing me!" James handed him a leaf and Tantor blew on it as if it was a tissue. As he blew his trunk, it made Terk wet. "Sorry." Tantor said. Terk couldn't resist and wiped away her tears of joy. Louis wiped away his tears with his tail and then blew his nose on it. Simba and Nala also watched. Nala nuzzled Simba as he watched them with pure joy in his eyes. Skipper said, "Well, score one for true love after all." James gave Skipper a high five and shouted, "Alright!" Aleu said to Legolas, "This reminds me of the day when I mated with you." Legolas replied, "It reminds me of that day too." James said, "You know this reminds me of something. It's that if we stick together, we can see it through." Simba said to everyone, "And we have just the song to remind us of that."
James:
"You've got a friend in me."
Humphrey:
"You've got a friend in me."
Kate:
"When the road looks rough ahead and you're miles and miles from you're nice warm bed."
Kate and Humphrey:
"You just remember what your old pal said."
Aleu:
"Boy, you've got a friend in me."
Ahadi:
"Yeah, you've got a friend in me."
Garth:
"You've got a friend in me."
Lilly:
"You've got a friend in me."
Legolas:
"You got troubles."
Lilly:
"Then I got 'em too."
Garth and Lilly:
"There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you."
Kiara:
"If we stick together, we can see it through 'cause you've got a friend in me."
Uru:
"Yeah, you've got a friend in me."
Mufasa:
"Now, some other folks might be a little bit smarter than I am."
Sarabi:
"Bigger and stronger too."
Humphrey:
"Maybe."
Kate:
"But none of them will ever love you the way I do."
Kate, Humphrey, Lilly, Garth, and James:
"It's me and you, boy."
Simba:
"And as the years go by."
Nala:
"Our friendship will never die."
All:
"You're gonna see it's our destiny."
Humphrey:
"You've got a friend in me."
Kate:
"You've got a friend in me."
All:
"Yeah, you've got a friend in me!"
Humphrey said, "Kate and I are more than just childhood friends now." Kate continued, "Yeah. We love each other." Garth said, "That's right. We'll be there for you. Together." Lilly continued, "We're your trusted friends. And you are the only human we trust." James replied, "If you guys will be there for us, we'll return to favor and be there for you." They gave him a thorough face-licking. James yelled out, "Okay! Okay!" Lilly and Kate giggled just as Humphrey and Garth laughed with them. Garth said, "We truly are the same." And so, Skipper decided that they should have a double wedding that night. James said, "That's a great idea, Skipper!" "This should be a great mating ritual." said Kowalski. While Kate would marry Humphrey, Lilly would marry Garth. It was a wonderful wedding. Everyone stood under a full moon. There, James held the majestic Unity Torch, a torch that represented the unity of the Eastern Pack and the Western Pack. Louis and Tantor trumpeted the theme song of EPCOT Center, "We've Just Begun to Dream". James thrusted the Unity Torch high into the air. When the torch was raised, the couples were officially married. Everyone broke into song. James, Simba, the male lions, and the Western and Eastern Pack wolves were the first ones to sing. "Let there be peace on Earth, and let it begin with me. Let there be peace on Earth, the peace that was meant to be. With God as our Father, we are family. Let us walk with each other, in perfect harmony." And so, the wolves spoke out the message, "Peace on Earth, good will to men." in different languages, including english. Mufasa stepped forward and said, "During this glorious time of year, there is one message that rings out around the world in all languages: Peace on Earth, good will to men. It's a wish to hold in our hearts throughout each passing year. A gift of immeasureable value. A treasure to be handed down with care, from generation to generation. And so, our holiday wish is that everyone, everywhere, share in the spirit of the season, peace on Earth, good will to men." The married couples lifted their voices to howl triumphantly. The howling came together into one beautiful sound which seemed like music to everyone's ears as they began to sing again. This time, everyone sung. "Let peace begin with me. Let this be the moment now. With every step I take, let this be my solemn vow. To take each moment and live each moment with peace eternally. Let there be peace on Earth, and let it begin with me. Let peace begin with me!" Simba and the lions blessed their marriage with a royal roar. Skipper and the penguins honored them with a salute. James also saluted them. Everyone rejoiced. After the wedding, James, with the Unity Torch in hand, lead the pack as they all departed with Alex, Marty, Melman, Florrie, Zuba, Leonette, Xiro, Kairel, Bruma, Panthy, Dagnino, Simba, Nala, Timon, Pumbaa, Tantor, Terk, King Julien, Mort, Maurice, Louis, Genie, Sebastian, Kovu, Kiara, Mufasa, Sarabi, Ahadi, Uru, Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, Private, Aleu, and Legolas on a new adventure. They all joined Alex's crew. And so, everything was perfect after that day. Kate, Humphrey, Lilly, Garth, Winston, Eve, Tony, and the whole united wolf pack had many wonderful adventures with Alex and the Madagascar Crew. But, this was just the beginning. There was a new journey which the wolves had just embarked on.
